Thrilled to have attended “The Interrupters” Chicago Premiere. Directed by Steve James and produced by writer Alex Kotlowitz, the film follows CeaseFire’s Violence Interrupters for a year as they attempt to mediate violent conflict and provide mentorship to Chicago’s youth. Check out the trailer: here The film will play at the Gene Siskel Film Center August 12th-25th. Having done some transcription and PA work on the film about a year ago, it’s really exciting to see this incredibly moving and hopeful film finally make it to the big screens and generate some buzz about a Chicago epidemic.
